Theatre with adolescents in psychiatry

I worked as teacher in the CThA (Therapical Center for Adolescents) for 4 years. In the CThA, the adolescents are unable to attend school. There, I am in charge of the "atelier de théâtre" and the writing atelier. I was first teaching french and theater in ordinary schools in Belgium and in France. I am "Agrégée de l'enseignement secondiare inférieur" in french and history.  I have got a master in "Arts du spectacle" who brings me to work as theater responsable in an psychiatrical hospital in Brussel. I fallowed myself several years of theater classes.

In this workshop we are going to present our work as theachers with teenagers in psychiatry. More particulary through the theater.

We will first explain our work on a theorical point of view including a clinical case and afterwords we will invite you to experience it in a practical way.

At the end of the workshop, we would propose a time of debate.

One of the fundamental question will be "How to give sense to learning through the game ?"
